The Ancient Order of Hibernians is the oldest Catholic lay organization in America, formed in 1836, and is dedicated to Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity. The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians was first organized as an Auxiliary of the AOH in America in 1894 and became a separate legal organization in 2004.
